I have made this for years once I found your recipe. my wine of choice is Dry Reisling. sage sausage . ive learned to make enough for 9 ×13 and a large cast iron pan . Its 1st to go wherever I take it! Thank yoy fir yoyr wonderful recipe!

Hi Natalie, Yes, absolutely. Merging them gives you the best of both worlds. I recommend adding 1 to 1 ½ cups of peeled, chopped apples that’s about 1 large or 2 small apples. Granny Smith or Honeycrisp are my favorites for this because they hold their shape. Add them to the pan at the same time as the onions and celery. This softens them just enough without turning them to mush. I love this variation as the sweetness cuts through the savory sausage and herbs perfectly! Enjoy Xx

I’ve made this specific stuffing for years! I love it. But I’m torn because I love my mom’s recipe that has apples in it. You mention apples at the top of the article. I want to try to merge these so I get the best of both worlds if that’s possible. You have more herbs in yours and she has the sweet apples. If I were to add apples to this how much do you think and have you ever done it?

Really fab as are all the Karina recipes that I have tried in the past. Always delicious and fail proof.
Just made the stuffing with cranberries and put in freezer for Family for over Christmas.
