Just tried this recipe tonight and it was great. I added some finely chopped cremini mushrooms to the end of the caramelized onions (just my liking). so easy to make and the family loved it.

It’s so simple but it be really luxe if it’s balanced well. I use verjuice in place of the wine and add porchini powder and an Ortiz anchovy or two – you can’t taste them, but they bump up the umami. This is one of the recipes I struggle to get to the table because I keep ‘testing’ it 🙂
