Excellent way to roast asparagus. Great flavour. The crispy bread crumb coating is delicious. Green beans work as well. My only tweak is to add a bit of lemon zest to the crumb mix.

Hi Marilyn, great idea, smaller pieces might cook a little faster than whole spears. Keep a close eye on them at the 8-10 minute mark so they stay tender-crisp and don’t get mushy. Enjoy! xx

Excellent recipe. Delicious, breadcrumbs add crispness, the cheese adds saltiness, umami, and a little chewyness, garlic gives it a little bite. Have made it multiple times. I just use more olive oil rather than butter sometimes. Makes it lighter tasting.
