Hi Arliss, which type of cheese did you use? Bagged parmesan contains anti-caking agents that turn into a gummy glue in hot liquid. Always grate it fresh from a block. The recipe specifies taking the Dutch oven off the heat before adding the cheese. If the broth is actively simmering, the dairy proteins seize and cling to your pot and spoons. Hope this helps Xx

The soup tastes delicious but the cheese stuck to my soup bowls, the spoons, and my Dutch oven. It was a mess to clean up. What did I do wrong?

Hi Paula, 4 cans is correct, the can size is 400g or 14oz, with a drained weight of 240g or 8.5oz. Hope that helps Xx
